A wise man once told me that our hearts are meant to be broken…

 

Inspired by my own divorce and the devastating impact it had on my heart, I decided to develop a project that explores the multiple ways in which our hearts can be broken and the many ways in which we can mend them. Each mended heart is attached to a personal story.

 

Clay is the material of choice for this project because of its plasticity and incredible tactile memory and just as clay our hearts have the ability to change, adapt, mend and bounce back, but it will always remember.

 

The use of story telling and dark humor will play a big roll in the development of this project.
